Green River Canyon and Juniper, 2022

Clinging to bare rock, junipers like this one can live over 600 years in the harsh desert environment. Even that is not long enough to see a significant change in the landscape unless humans invade. I previously photographed this scene 35 years earlier. It is encouraging to see how little visible change has occurred.
