Trillium Portrait

Trilliums are native to North America and East Asia and there are more than 30 different species. This particular one is a trillium simile, also called sweet white trillium and jeweled wake-robin. It was found in the wild in the Appalachian Mountains. Seeing these flowers is always a sure sign that spring has arrived.
