Subtle Sunrise, La Sal Mountains

In this photograph sunrise envelops snow capped peaks of Utah's La Sal mountains in subtle shades of red and blue. The La Sal mountains are located along the Utah/Colorado border. They are part of the Manti-La Sal National Forest and the southern Rocky Mountains. The highest peak is Mount Peale, reaching 12,721 feet (3,877 m) above sea level.
