Springtime Stream, Tennessee

This Appalachian Mountain stream winds its way through boulders at the height of springtime in the mountains. Some blossoms are fading while others are just starting, and the forest turns a bright shade of green. At this point spring is only starting to arrive in the higher elevations, which are up to a month behind the valley floor and are just emerging from winter.
