Phantom Falls, Victoria, Australia

This 15 meter (49 foot) high waterfall is situated in a canyon full of ferns, tall eucalypt trees, and incredible scenery. It was very chilly and began raining just as I arrived here, but the sky cleared a bit as time passed.

Upon arrival I thought the best vantage point might be from the opposite side of the river, but I found it impossible to get there. Instead I began capturing images from a location that was very difficult to access, further downstream, on some slippery rocks near the middle of the river. Since no good deed goes unpunnished, I tried this relatively easy to access location last, and it provided the best photographs.
