Restless Osprey

Once endangered, ospreys are beginning to thrive again. This one has just landed on a dead branch to rest between fishing expeditions. Ospreys eat only fish, and dive into the water at high speeds to catch them in their sharp talons. They fish in both fresh and salt water and can be found along waterways throughout most of the United States, including Ohio. Ospreys migrate to the south when ice makes fishing impossible.
