The season's second winter storm in October has coated the western flank of
Yellowstone's Mount Everts in a blanket of white. The peak was named for Truman
C. Everts, a member of the Washburn - Langford - Doane surveying expedition of
1870. The often brutal climate of Yellowstone sometimes has a beautiful side.
