This Photograph was captured in early morning against dense fog on Florida's San Carlos Bay. The Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) is a large wading bird commonly found in wetlands and near water in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Galapagos Islands. An all-white population found only in the Caribbean and southern Florida was once treated as a separate species known as the Great White Heron.
