Fish Falls is a permanent waterfall that cascades about 60 meters (197 feet) over terraced rocks into a pool below. I began my hike to this waterfall on a cloudy day in a very light drizzle, which except for the drizzle is perfect weather for photographing waterfalls. By the time I arrived it had become partly cloudy and dry with the sky rapidly clearing. Sun on this scene would be very undesirable, so I waited quite a while for some temporary cloud cover. The broken clouds drifting across the sun would often shade only parts of the scene. Patience paid off when the entire scene became shaded for what was probably the last time that day.
