The Brink of Crystal Brook Falls, Ice Water, Victoria, Australia

The water in this photograph looks like ice because the default shutter speed on my cell phone is fast. It is meant to freeze action, which most cell phones do quite well. Nearly two years later I discovered that most phones, including mine, have a "long exposure" mode that will blur movement, making it look much more realistic.

I used the same phone to capture the image above and the newer one with blurred water. I used my phone instead of my camera because the size, weight, and physical configuration of my camera would not allow me to use it here. The image quality suffers because of it, but it's better than no photograph at all.
