Bryce City, Sunrise
This photograph reminded me of a cityscape, with a street winding among various
buildings, hence the title "Bryce City". The hoodoos in this photograph seem to
glow from within. This is a fairly common phenomena early in the morning at
Bryce, but it is not seen by many because looking toward the bright sun is
uncomfortable. The sun is almost directly in front of the camera and the side of
hoodoos facing away from the camera is lit directly. That light is reflected and
warmed by the orange rock. The reflected light strikes the side of the hoodoos
facing the camera producing a very warm glow.
