Windows through Windows, Arches National Park, Utah
This photograph was taken on a cool and clear morning just after sunrise, when
the Entrada sandstone glows in the amber rays of the day’s first light. The
opening in the North Window (foreground) is about 40 feet high and the vertical
opening in Turret arch is about 65 feet high. Arches National Park contains the
largest concentration of natural arches in the world. They range from a 3 foot
opening to a span that is 105 feet high and 291 feet from base to base.
