Surfside Waterfall, Low Tide, Victoria, Australia
We came across this waterfall unexpectedly while exploring Victoria's
southern coast. It can be approached only at low tide, and by luck rather
than planning that's when we arrived. The little waterfall supports
a variety of small plants and algae by keeping the surroundings wet, and and
they in turn make it extremely slippery. Since the waterfall provides fresh water and the area is
flooded with salt water at high tide, anything growing here must be able to tolerate
both.
