This photograph was taken on the Colorado River one fall evening just outside the boundary of Canyonlands National Park. The tower of rain falling in the distance is illuminated by the sun shining through a break in the clouds, as is the top of the canyon wall. It was tremendously windy and keeping the camera still was quite a problem. The first few drops of rain were starting to fall at my location when the photograph was taken. |
