Butterfly on Lobster Claw Blossom, Selangor, Malaysia

  
   
  In this image a plain tiger butterfly (danaus chrysippus) is perched on a colorful lobster claw (heliconia rostrata) blossom. This butterfly is found in regions stretching from East Asia to tropical Africa, and from South and Southeast Asia down to Australia. It is known by various names in different parts of its range, including the African Monarch, Lesser Wanderer and Golden Danaid.
