| In this image the Little River in Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains National Park glows with a silvery sheen as dogwood trees bloom along its banks. The first bright greens on the valley floors are a sign that winter may finally be over, at least here in the valley. It is still winter higher up in the mountains, but at lower elevations the forest once again shows unmistakable signs of life. | |||
