 Sleeping Ute's Awakening |

| Legend has it that Sleeping Ute Mountain was once a Great Warrior God who came to protect the people against the Evil Ones. In the tremendous battle that ensued, the footsteps of the Great Warrior God and the Evil Ones pushed the land into mountains and valleys. Having been hurt in the battle, the Great Warrior God laid down and fell into a deep sleep, becoming the Sleeping Ute Mountain we see today. Some believe that the Great Warrior God will one day rise again to help them fight their enemies. Perhaps the awakening will look something like the scene shown above. | |||
