Acadia National park in Maine is dotted with glacier carved ponds and lakes. With its crystal clear waters flanked by mountains of granite, Jordan Pond is perhaps the loveliest. This image shows Jordan Pond in clearing fog on a spring morning. The fog had already cleared from all but the far end of the pond by the time the image was captured, and the sun was beginning to shine brightly through a veil of high fog that remained.
