![]() Brandywine Creek, November |
|
| After tumbling over Brandywine Falls, Brandywine Creek meanders through a deep and heavily forested gorge in northeast Ohio's Cuyahoga Valley National Park. November is a transitional month in Ohio's forests. The last vividly colored leaves of autumn fall to the ground in a thick layer where they fade to muted shades of brown. They float down streams, crunch under foot, and add the distinctive aroma of late fall to the crisp air. During this month-long prelude to winter the forest takes on a stark and open appearance that it will keep until spring. | |
