Autumn's Last Color, Michigan, Upper Peninsula
 
   
  We arrived in Michigan's upper peninsula as the leaves were reaching peak color. Arriving at the same time were winds over 30 mph and rain, stripping leaves from many trees practically overnight. Some areas of good color remained, like the one on the protected side of the ravine shown above.
