Molar Rock and Angel Arch, Canyonlands
The unusual Molar Rock stands in the foreground of this image, with Angel Arch in the background. In this wilderness of stone eons and erosion create amazing sculptures. The same forces will eventually cause them to crumble. As Henry David Thoreau once noted, "The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time".
